Harry and Catharine were married at the start
of WWII. Harry left with the military within a
week of their wedding day.
He was a retired employee of Crawford Station of Metropolitan
Edison Co., Middletown. Leisey was a U.S. Army veteran of
World War II. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Elks Lodge 1092, and American Legion Post 594, all of Middletown.
He was also a member of Ephrata Lodge 665, Free and Accepted

Melvin "Meb" T. Leisey, 79, of 802
Reservoir Road, Honey Brook, PA, died at the
Fairmount Nursing Home on Sunday, May 08, 2005.
He was born in Birdsboro, Berks Co., PA and
was the son of the late
Alvin L., Sr. and E. Marie Leidenberger Leisey.
He is the husband of Kathryn "Chook" A.
Simpson Leisey with whom he shared 62
years of marriage. "Meb" retired from Pepperidge
Farms, Downingtown on January 1, 1988 after
27 years and 7 months of service. He was a
veteran of World War II, having served in the
U. S. Navy in the European Theatre Operations.
He is a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church,
American Legion Wawassan Post #422 and the
VFW Post #5997; a 51 year member of the Howell
Lodge #405 F. & A.M. all in Honey Brook. He is also
a member of the Honey Brook Fire Company,
Scottish Rite of Reading and the Reading Consistory.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn A. "Chook" Simpson
Leisey; two sons: Thomas M. (Cheri) Leisey
and Larry R. (Linda) Leisey both of Honey
Brook, PA. There are nine grandchildren and two
great granddaughters. Also surviving are three
brothers Alvin L. Leisey, Jr. of Elizabethtown,
PA, Robert B. Leisey of Norristown, PA and
Donald E. Leisey of San Rafael, CA.
He was preceded in death by a son James R. Leisey.
