David Blair Arnot was a member of
the British Colonial Service and assigned as
Conservator of Forests for one of the Malayan
States and lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaya with
his wife, Margaret and daughter, Patricia prior
to WW II. When the Japanese invaded Malaya,
immediately following the invasion of Pearl Harbor
on December 7, 1941, he joined the
Royal Air Force with the rank of Flying Officer.
He arranged for Patricia, his wife, and Margaret,
who was pregnant with son David, to be
evacuated to Hobart, Australia on the island
of Tasmania for safe keeping until the
conclusion of the war. He lost his life
in Malaya when a bridge blew up
under him.

census (dist 2 img 11) age 22, a servant in the household of
John Fry.
Found him on the 1910 East Cocalico, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
census (dist 10 img 18) age 32, married, manager, general farm.
Besides his wife and 4 children, there is Raymond Wade, age 8,
stepson in his household.
Found him on the 1920 East Cocalico, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
census (dist 29 img 8) age 42, farmer. Also in the household is
Raymond L. Wade age 18, step son.

Mrs. Salinda Geib, wife of
Samuel W. Geib, residing on the
Ephrata ridge, about a mile southeast of
Ephrata, in Ephrata township, died very
suddenly on Friday of Apoplexy, aged 56
years and 1 month. Mrs. Geib was stricken
at 8 o'clock in the morning and died five
hours afterwards without regaining consciousness.
The deceased was born in Clay township
and was the daughter of the late Jacob
Leisey. About thirty-six years ago-she was
married to Levi Leisey, of Reamstown.
A year later she took up her residence with
her husband at Glasgow, Indiana, where she
lived until the death of her husband, which
took place twenty-eight years ago.
She then came East again and later was
married to Samuel B. Geib, of Ephrata township.
She was the mother of six children, four
by the first marriage and two by the second.
Three children of the former union survive her,
as follows: Leroy L. Leisey, of Philadelphia;
Walter S. Leisey and Lyman L. Leisey,
of Ephrata.
Besides her husband, the following twelve
brothers and sisters also survive: Henry Leisey,
William Leisey, Emma Leisey,
and Jacob Leisey, of Lincoln; Mrs.
Thomas Goehenouer, of Lancaster; Mrs.
Thomas Barry, Lititz; Harvey Leisey,
Abraham Leisey, Ephrata; Mrs. Jacob
Showalter and Martin Leisey, Akron;
Mrs. Samuel Witmer, of Denver, and
Mrs. Frank Peters, Elizabethtown. Her
mother, Mrs. Rebecca Leisey, of Lincoln,
also survives. Interment was made at Bowman's cemetery at Ephrata.
